Security Change: Auto Log Out After 45 min of Inactivity Starting Nov 24th!!!

Credible Banner
Security and Performance Enhancement
Dear Mark,

In order to minimize risk, strengthen security, and improve software performance, Credible will be changing the maximum idle timeout setting to 45 minutes.  This is a decrease from the current maximum of two hours and will only affect Partners who have chosen a setting value that exceeds the new window of 45 minutes.

Your employees will be impacted if they are idle within Credible software for 45 minutes. Users will receive a warning following 40 minutes of inactivity that their session is going to be disconnected within five minutes, at which point they can choose to continue working if needed.  Otherwise, following 45 minutes of inactivity, idle employees will be automatically logged out of the application, at which point they will need to log back in to continue.

This change went live on Sunday, November 17, 2013 for all Test/Training domains. It will be live on Production domain Sunday, November 24, 2013
Thank you for your continued Partnership. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

David Brager

Chrome or Firefox Users: See this for Monday the 25th instructions related to Java and Sig Pad Use

Signature Pad Security Certificate

Dear Partner,

To adapt to a new version of Java that was recently released, Credible has accelerated its schedule for a new security certificate for signature pad use with Chrome and Firefox. With this latest release of Java, a Security Warning popup displays each time a clinician using Chrome or Firefox and a signature pad accesses a signature field in Credible. The new security certificate, available in Production on Monday, November 25th, will remedy this situation.

If your clinicians are using Chrome or Firefox as their browser and they use a signature pad, they will need to accept the new security certificate the first time they access a Credible screen with a signature field on November 25th.

Instructions for accepting the new security certificate are outlined below and can also be found in the Cross-Browser Compatibility topic in online help.

Note: the new security certificate is currently available in your test domain. Credible recommends that your staff practice accepting it so they can find out if a Java update is required on their computers.
To accept the new security certificate:
  1. After logging in on November 25th (or earlier if doing this on your test domain), click the Signature button on your Employee nav bar.
  2. If you are prompted to update the Java plug-in, perform the update. If you are prompted to uninstall previous versions of Java after the update, use the Java Uninstall tool to remove the out-of-date versions. After the update/uninstall, log out of Credible, close/reopen your browser, log back in, and reaccess the Signature function
  3. If the message "Java(TM) needs permission to run" displays, click Always run on this site.
Javascript Message

  1. If the prompt "Do you want to run this application?" displays, select the "Do not show this again..." checkbox and click Run
Run Java

The background of the signature box changes to light green indicating you have accepted the new security certificate.

Signature Certificate
  1. Log out of Credible, close/reopen your browser, and log back in.

Spell Check in Internet Explorer 10

We have found that Internet Explorer is the most reliable browser  in which to run Credible. Follow the link below to find instructions to enable IE's spell-checking capability! You will save time and receive fewer requests or red x's related to spelling or typos.

The directions below will help you enable as-you-go spelling correction in most* Credible fields as you type. Misspelled words will come up with a red underline as you fill out forms.

How to:
Open Internet Explorer
In the upper right hand cor4ner of the screen, left click on the gear icon underneath the “x”
Choose Internet Options by left clicking on it in the drop down menu
The Internet Options window will appear. Click on the Programs tab
Click on the Manage add-ons button
On the left hand side, probably at the bottom, click on Spelling Correction
Make sure the Enable spelling correction box at the bottom left is checked
Finally, click on the Close button at the bottom right

* I think there are some fields within Credible that this will not work in so be aware as you go. All in all, it should be really helpful though.

Enjoy!
Mark

Credible Release 8.3 on Dec. 14

Credible Release 8.3
Dear Rick,

Due to the extensive coding and quality testing required for Meaningful Use Stage 2 functionality, Credible has moved the 8.3 Release to Saturday, December 14, 2013.  While the majority of the work is completed, I believe it is prudent to not rush the remaining items and the remaining extensive testing. This move will allow Credible to maintain our commitment to full Meaningful Use certification.

Once the December release is complete, we will begin our official testing with CCHIT for Stage 2 certification.  At the same time, we will be finalizing our Meaningful Use Stage 2 Partner Documentation so that you and your staff will have the resources required to interpret and adjust for Stage 2.
I appreciate your patience.

Thank you,
